A French VoyageMalton School
At the start of July, 56 students from Years 7 and 8 spent five days visiting rural, north western France. The group stayed in a Roman castle called Chateau Beaumont in Mayenne on the Normandy/Loire border.
The chateau was set in 10 acres of private grounds with lots of activities to get involved in including archery, zip wire, nightline and fencing. As well as these activities there was plenty to explore in the local area including an organic farm and local markets.
The group also visited Le Mont St Michel, the beautiful abbey set above the beach in Normandy, as well as one of the largest castles in Europe and a chocolate factory which proved very popular.
