Cosmetic Science Award WinnersMalton School
Well done to science students Isabel Donaldson, Harriet Podmore, Year 11 and Phoebe Nicholson, Year 9, who reached the finals of the Institute for Cosmetic Science (IFCS) annual chemistry competition.
The students investigated developing a range of space-themed bath bombs during their Microbiology PDA session.
Isabel said: “We had to research all the chemicals we were using to make sure they were safe then we created eight bath bombs including the Sun.
We had to drop them into water to see how they worked. We conducted a few different experiments and wrote up our findings.”
The finals award ceremony is being held at the National Space Centre in Leicestershire on June 21st.
