Well done to our Year 8 boys’ football team who have done fantastically well by playing at national level.

U15 GIRLS’ HOCKEY tournament triumph
Well done to the U15 girls’ hockey team who won the Whitby and Ryedale partnership event last Thursday in awful weather conditions at a Lady Lumley’s School. The majority of the team were Year 10 apart from Emily Carroll, Izzy Matique, Katie Robinson and Lily Palmer from Year 9.
Hockey Captain Charlotte Blenkin has written a match report:
The tournament started very successfully when we beat Lady Lumley’s with some incredible short corners from Georgia Griffiths to Charlotte Blenkin and superb passing from Ellie Robinson, Lexy Ilsley and Emily Carroll. So the final score was 4-0. We played well with confidence, good teamwork and great communication.
Next up was Ryedale A who are unbeaten. With a good save from Lily Palmer in goal and a very solid defensive line of Ellie Allan, Katie Robinson and Natalie Watson, for the first time we won 1-0 with a great goal by Hannah Atkinson winning the match.
Finally, we played Ryedale B with a 2-0 clean sheet with Charlotte Blenkin and Ellie Robinson scoring.
So unbeaten with no goals scored against us, the under 15 girls’ team won the partnership tournament in the pouring rain!
Year 9 GIRLS’ HOCKEY WIN
Well done to the Year 9 Girls’ Hockey team who beat Lady Lumley’s School 2-1 in their match earlier this week. Looks like it was a beautiful sunset too!

National Schools’ NetBall Tournament Results
The U14 and U16 teams took part in the North Yorkshire County Round of the National Schools’ Netball Tournament on Saturday, November 12th, at Queen Ethelburga’s in York.
Both teams played exceptionally well against some very strong sides with some other teams and players playing at Regional and National levels.
Unfortunately the U14 teams were defeated in all of their games and the U16 team were victorious in only one game against SXF.
Despite the defeat all players have gained experience from competing at such a high-level and should all be really proud of their achievements.
Well done to all the girls involved.
