Students Inspired by Lockdown Challenges

Throughout the course of lockdown, the Head issued a total of 13 challenges to students – 12 in the summer term, and one over the summer break.  With prizes offered to 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed entries, the challenges covered a huge range of subjects:

Best lockdown recipe
Best original composition
Best ‘found’ poem
Best VE Commemoration idea
Beat the Head of Maths
Best dramatic monologue
Most inspirational message (in French) for Bastille Day
Best circular local walk

Headteacher wins Silver in the Teaching BAFTAs

Selected from thousands of nominations, Mr Williams is one of 76 Silver Award winners in the Pearson National Teaching Awards – the BAFTAS for the teaching industry.
The Pearson National Teaching Awards are an annual celebration of exceptional teachers, founded in 1998 by Lord Puttnam to recognise the life-changing impact an inspirational teacher can have on the lives of the young people they work with.  The Awards recognise teachers, teaching assistants, headteachers and lecturers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
