Bringing Archaeology to LifeMalton School
Students in archaeology got their hands on some Roman artefacts during a visit to Malton Museum.
Margaret Shaw from Malton Museum was on hand to explain the artefacts to the students who have all opted to take archaelogy for their PDA session.
The museum is Ryedale’s major archaeological museum which holds a collection from Malton Roman Fort and town, and from the nearby Langton Villa as well as more recent finds.
Nicola Burrows who takes the Archaeology PDA session said: “The students really enjoyed their visit to the museum. It really enhanced what we have been looking at in the archaeology sessions at school and it’s great to have such a fantastic resource on our doorstep.”
