Year 7 Admissions

Applications to join Malton School in Year 7 are made via the North Yorkshire County Council website.  The application window opens in early September of Year 6, and applications must be received online by 31 October for entry the following September.  For more information, please visit: https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/school-admissions

You will be notified by NYCC of the results of your application in early March.  If you have been successful in your application we will also contact you in March to begin the transition process.

Year 7 Appeals

North Yorkshire County Council notifies parents of Year 7 secondary school place allocations at the start of March each year.  For the past few years we have been oversubscribed, which means that not all families who request Malton School are offered a place.  If you are unsuccessful, there is an independent appeals process, further details of which can be found on the NYCC website: https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/appeal-school-place
