Exams Officer (Maternity Cover)

 

This is a maternity cover starting as soon as possible

37 hours per week, term time only plus one week,

Grade G (SCP 13 – 18) £22,627 to £24,982 (to be reduced pro rata)

£19,788 to £21,848 per annum (actual)

(Hours are available for negotiation)

Malton School is seeking to recruit an Examinations Officer to lead on the efficient and effective running of examinations for the school.  We are looking for applicants with confidence, strong inter-personal and organisational skills and the ability to work successfully with young people, staff and parents.

We are looking for:

  • A highly efficient, skilled and well-organised administrator.
  • Strong computer and literary skills.
  • The ability to lead a team of invigilators fronting up our school exams

Learning Manager (Cover Supervisor)

We seek a Learning Manager to join a successful and supportive team.

Learning Managers supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.  Cover work is provided.  When there are no cover requirements, Learning Managers provide admin and/or technical support for the Faculty Team to which they are attached.  There may be an opportunity to take on some teaching depending on qualifications, experience and interests.

This is an established full-time post starting on 5th January 2022 (or earlier).
37 hours per week, term time only, Band F (scale points 8 – 13).  Starting salary of £17,530 (actual for term time working)

General Teaching Assistant

This is an 8 month fixed term post in the first instance, starting 5 January 2022 until 31 August 2022

33.5 hours per week, term time only, Grade C (scale points 2 – 4)

Job share / part – time hours considered for the right person

Equivalent starting salary at Point 2 is £14,235 per annum.

 

Malton School has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and well organised person to join our Learning Support team. The role will involve working with subject teachers to support young people in lessons and contributing to both the academic and social development of students with learning difficulties.  Our Learning Support team has an excellent reputation in the local community and you would be joining a very strong team.

Adaptability, resilience and the ability to think on your feet will be essential in this varied role as will the ability to communicate effectively. A good command of English and Maths and strong ICT skills are essential.

This is an established post to start January 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.

28 hours per week over 4 days, term time only plus 1 week

Working days: Tuesdays and Thursdays plus two other days.

Grade L (SCP 32 – 36) £35,745 to £39,880 (to be reduced pro rata)

Lead/Support Exam Invigilator

 

This is an established post starting in the new year

Pay: Grade C, £9.43 – £9.81 per hour

Malton School has an exciting opportunity for a flexible and well organised person to join our exams team. The role will involve running examinations and supervising candidates in compliance with JCQ regulations. Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to think on your feet will be essential in this varied role, as will the ability to communicate effectively. A good command of English and Maths and basic ICT skills are essential.

Please note that this role is seasonal and sessions are agreed based on examination timetables. The main external exam series runs throughout May and June, with additional sessions often taking place in November, January and February. Sufficient availability is required during these periods.
