Experimenting in the LabMalton School
A group of our Microbiology students visited York University this week as part of their project researching Roman Eye Medicine.
Malton School is part of a group of schools who are studying microbiology. The visit to York University meant the students were able to carry out high level techniques and practical experiments in a category 2 laboratory.
Science teacher Nicky-Jo Cooper said: “We had a fantastic trip to the labs at York University. The students loved every minute of it. They were able to conduct experiments that we can’t do at school, namely that we can’t take the lid off when we grow things here.
“We are looking forward to the results of our experiments which we should find out very soon once the plats have grown.”
