Join Us at Our Sixth Form Open Evening on 9 November
We are really looking forward to welcoming prospective Sixth Form students in Years 10 and 11 (and their parents) to our Open Evening on Thursday, 9 November. We know how important it is to choose the right courses post 16 to enable you to achieve your first-choice post 18 destination, be that university, apprenticeship or direct entry into the world of work. The Open Evening will therefore provide you with a great opportunity to:
- Talk to the subject specialist staff who provide inspirational teaching across more than 25 A level, BTEC and CTEC courses.
- Meet our dedicated Heads of Year who work alongside teaching staff to support, nurture and encourage students throughout their time with us.
- Hear from our Head of Guidance as to how we can help ensure you reach your goals after Sixth Form.
- Find out about our use of 1:1 technology with our iPad for Learning Scheme and learn why we are an Apple Distinguished School.
- Chat to current students about life in Sixth Form.
- View the excellent facilities we have available to Sixth Form students including our specialist Science laboratories, Design Technology facilities, Drama Studio and Art work rooms, as well as our dedicated Sixth Form areas including the Common Room, where students can relax with friends and Room 40, our study room where students can work during free periods.
The evening will open with a presentation from Mrs Cooper, Director of Sixth Form and the Headteacher, Mr Williams at 6.30pm. Following this, you will be free to tour our facilities and speak to staff and students.
