Apple Distinguished School
We launched the iPad for Learning Scheme in 2013 and by 2016 were running the 1:1 scheme throughout all year groups. Malton School was then recognised as an Apple Distinguished School for the period 2021-2024. We are delighted to be recognised once again as an Apple Distinguished School for 2024-2027 for inspiring, imaginative and impactful teaching and learning schoolwide through continuous innovation.
Apple Distinguished Schools are centres of innovation, leadership and educational excellence. They use Apple technology to connect students to the world, fuel creativity, deepen collaboration, and make learning personal. The recognition for Malton comes for the way the School has used iPad devices to innovate teaching and learning practice across the curriculum.

Whilst the use of iPads is embedded across all sectors of teaching and learning in school, the recognition for 2024-2027 focuses on 4 key areas:
