PASTORAL SUPPORT KS4

In Key Stage 4, we have a Head of Year for each of Years 10 & 11.  As in Key Stage 3, your child’s Head of Year in Year 10 will work with them throughout their two years in KS4, moving with them from Year 10 to Year 11.  This enables them to both get to know your child and ensure they achieve the best possible rates of progression and attainment in these key exam years.  We also have a Director of KS4.

As with all year groups, the Heads of Year are responsible for delivering wider pastoral care, meeting with students as required, and if additional support is needed, referring students to the School Counsellor and / or the Wellbeing in Mind Team, as well as ensuring students make a smooth transition from KS3 to KS4 and eventually onto KS5.

In Key Stage 4, the current Heads of Year are:

The Director of Key Stage is Mr Green, who is also an Assistant Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (trg@malton.pmat.academy)

If you have any concerns about your child’s wellbeing, please contact the relevant Head of Year.  If your concerns are related to the progress your child is making in a particular subject, please contact the subject teacher concerned in the first instance.
