Academic success and the general well-being of pupils are best served by close co-operation between home and school.
In addition to regular parents’ meetings for consultation with subject teachers, there are special meetings in the summer before Year 7 entry to the school, in Year 9 when guided course choices are being made, in the autumn of Year 11 to give information about the Sixth Form and in Year 12 to explain the procedures for applying to universities and colleges.
The school’s pastoral system is based on the form group; students should address queries, problems or concerns to their form tutor in the first instance. Form tutors meet their forms daily. The work of guidance and counselling by form tutors complements the programme of personal and social education throughout the school.
Parents should contact the appropriate member of the senior staff whenever there is need:
Ms L Davison – Lower School (Key Stage 3)
Mrs D Johnson – Upper School (Key Stage 4)
Mrs S Holden / Mrs R Pulling – Sixth Form (Key Stage 5)
