The Numbers Stack UpJanet Burrows
For one student in Year 11, the numbers really do stack up! Like all students at Malton, Ella has been using Hegarty Maths to help consolidate her understanding and provide lots of Maths practice. For Ella, who has both a passion and talent for Maths, Hegarty Maths has proved to be a challenge to relish. With a total of 925 lessons to work through – Ella has now completed all 925, achieving 100% in every one. She is the first student at Malton to achieve the “Hegarty Ring” although Mr Muir, Head of Maths, is confident other students will follow in Ella’s footsteps and achieve the same success.
Ella also hopes this will be the first of many achievements in Maths – she will be sitting her GCSE Further Maths this summer, and hopes to go on and study both Maths and Further Maths at A Level. Her current teacher, Mr Craggs, is delighted at Ella’s achievement and the way her Maths ability has flourished through a combination of ability, hard work and a real love of the subject.
We wish Ella well – and look forward to welcoming other students to the elite group of Hegarty Completers. Very many congratulations.
