Designed to support students who are aspiring to academic further education and those who may need to submit early UCAS applications for institutions such as Oxford and Cambridge or for courses such as Medicine, Veterinary Science, Dentistry etc. This pathway will support students to ensure they meet the requirements of these applications including qualifications and UCAS points as well as being fully prepared for entrance exams and interviews.
Students on this pathway will be expected to complete the following:
- EBacc at GCSE
- Select at least two facilitating subjects as part of their main course of study (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History, Maths, French or English)
- Complete a short volunteer or shadowing placement in their possible field of study.
- Make a 4th subject choice that could be taken to AS or where appropriate completed in full, or complete an EPQ.
