What We Can Offer

The Sixth Form at Malton attracts highly motivated students from a wide area, not just Malton, Norton and Ryedale, and we pride ourselves on making the transition from Year 11 to Sixth Form as smooth as possible, integrating students quickly, valuing each student as an individual and giving them a firm foundation for future success.

Students are happy here.  They have strong working relations with staff, whilst sparking off each other in a way that draws the best out of everyone.  The teaching is excellent and students perform well, many moving onto the best universities.  Our vocational courses also have a fantastic track record, leading directly into employment or apprenticeships through our links with local employers.

We are committed to the provision of varied, engaging and stimulating teaching and learning in every class, together with a wide range of extra-curricular activities that will enhance students’ education and give them the platform for future success.

The majority of our students choose to go on to study at university and we are proud of our strong rates of former students succeeding at university level.  We don’t simply look to ‘get’ our students into university, but also to ‘prepare’ them for university.  This applies equally to those who want to pursue an apprenticeship route or go straight into employment, hence the 3 Pathways that we now offer to all students.

Whatever your background, we are confident that the Sixth Form at Malton will give you a caring, supportive and challenging environment to inspire you to be the best you can be.
