We have an extended day every Thursday in which the final lesson is devoted purely to wider personal development and character education: each student chooses a different activity each term from a wide-ranging choice that includes the Duke of Edinburgh Award, debating, alternative conversational languages, charity work, sport and options to take some subjects beyond the A level curriculum as well as gain additional qualifications.  Students are encouraged to build a wider personal portfolio or enhanced CV to improve their future prospects.  We know that success isn’t always gained through a set of excellent qualification and so the rounded, personal development and character education of every student is a high priority.
